Hello everyone,
the current SARG version in openSuSE 11.x repositories is 2.2.5 which has a known bug:
“SARG: getword loop detected.
SARG: searching for ‘x20’
SARG: Maybe you have a broken record or garbage in your access.log file.”
This has been fixed in release 2.2.6.
SARG is now available in release 2.3.1.
It would be great to implement this in the current 11.x repositories.
If there is currently no plan for doing this I would appreciate if it would be done.
Sorry, in case that this is wrong sorted.
If someone has some questions or information regarding this just ask me ^^
Regards,
Martin
Sorry, it is release 2.3 and can be downloaded here:

Hi
You could contact one of the maintainers and ask them;
https://build.opensuse.org/package/users?package=sarg&project=server%3Aproxy
Else if your wanting to contribute, you can use the build service to
branch the package, update and submit your updated package.

Unfortunately I have no experience with creating RPM packes for repository integration, but I have asked “computersalat” and hope he can help me.
But just to get it right:
I am asking to get the update of SARG into the official openSuSE repository.
Sorry, if this is a stupid question, but I do not yet know a way on how this could be done.
