Samsung BlacJack II as G3 modem

I am trying to get my I607 phone from AT&T as a tethered device. It works beautifully on Windows, but it has a direct COMM MANAGER app that control it.

I went to MODEMS, at it already saw the device (awesome), I then clicked on the PROVIDER tab and set up the connection with number, user and pass.

Once I told it to apply, it told me I needed to install KInternet. I did, and the app comes up. I can go to settings and configure with YaST2. I can see all the seetings.

Everything else on KInternet is grayed out. Nothing to click!

How to I tell it to dial like a regular modem or such?

Nobody gonna even give this a try?

Hi
Is the smpppd service running and enabled?

sudo /sbin/chkconfig smpppd

if it's off, then;

sudo /sbin/chkconfig smpppd on
sudo /usr/sbin/rcsmpppd start
