Same icon for .sh extensions

A new problem.

I have 2 scripts on the desktop.

When I change the icon for one script, that same icon is used for the second script.

Can that be fixed ?

You must have a association to a suffix set up

Don’t use a .xxx at the end it is not needed in Linux and may be associated with other files Or you can go to the file associations and chnage the behaviour so a suffix is not recognized. Then you should be able to have discrete icons

No idea how did you create them? Check the properties

I can’t seem to duplicate the problem so you must have created them differently

I did not create them.

They were the default.

I used customize KDE icons to change the size of the desktop icons, but there is no change in size.

Have a great weekend.

I mean how did you place them on the desktop. I know you did not make the icons but you did make the links to the app.

Desktop icons can be changed to the appropriate size, simply by ‘Unlock Widgets’, then dragging on the resize tool until the desired size is reached. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks deano,

That was an easy fix.

Some of my desktop icons do not have the black rectangle to the side to lets me adjust the font size.

Again I say it is how they are created on the desktop.

If they appear to be widgets then they are resizable by drag but if the are marked as just desktop icons then you resize them as a group by the desktop settings

So again I ask how did you create them and how did you do some different

Ah, yes that might explain the difference he’s observing. (I only have a couple widget icons displayed on the desktop as I prefer panel icons anyway.)

Like I said previously, I dragged multiple instances of dolphin to the desktop.
