Samba

Installed Suse 11.4 setup Samba , I Can see others on the network,but not Suse. Firewall is off.Suse 11.3 works ok.Did I miss something ?

I think AppArmour might be the culprit. Check this thread :

I upgraded my 11.3 64-bit installation to 11.4 and now I can access my Win7 share. With my other 11.3 32-bit boxes I can see the Win7 box but can’t log into its shared folder. I never had any trouble with shares on my XP Home box.

I’m glad Samba got fixed, or upgraded, or whatever happened to it. There was lots of discussion and suggestions about how to connect to a Win7 share, and some stuff worked for some people and didn’t work for others. I spent hours reading this and that and trying things, with no success.
