I am running opensuse 11.0 with kde on a ppc processor. I got the samba to work with my two windows machines. I can access files on my to windows machines but I can’t access the opensuse machine from the windows machine. It asks for a user name and password so I put in the user name and password I set up for samba. But it says something about accessing the computer.
Any Ideas?

Make sure you have opened the required ports on the firewall and that you have
added users with smbpasswd. If you are still having problems, post the
contents of /etc/samba/smb.conf and describe exactly what you have done. You
might look at the log file /var/log/samba/smbd.log to see if it shows any
errors.
