SAMBA configuration

Hello everyone. I installed openSUSE Linux 12.1 yesterday. Its my first encounter with Linux. What Im trying to do is to configure SAMBA to work with Windows network.
I`ve found this tutorial on internet how to configure SAMBA. It looks rather simple until I got to the point where i need to configure SAMBA on SWAT. When I log in to SWAT I write my root username and password and it only shows 4 items HOME,VIEW,STATUS,PASSWORD and on tutorial it shows 3 more GLOBAL, SHARES,PRINTERS.

So when i try to make changes to SAMBA GLOBALS i go to http://localhost:901/globals ,here is no “Commit Changes” button just “Reset Values” button.

Can someone help me a litle bit with this.

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you are thinking of Samba using the SWAT Web interface? I have a blog on the subject you can find here: Samba S.W.A.T. - Samba Web Administration Tool Setup for openSUSE - Blogs - openSUSE Forums

Thank You,

I have a new blog that provides a bash script to automatically create all of the configurations to use Samba and to use SWAT: SWAT - Samba Web Administration Tool - Setup & Creation Script - 1.03 - Blogs - openSUSE Forums

Thank You,
