Samba and Windows XP SP3

Hi all,

I have installed openSuSe 11.1 and Windows XP Pro SP3 (on two PC’s), both works fine, but I can not connect Windows to Linux via Samba. Sometime I can see the share, but not login. Very often I see nothing. I wont use the Linux as an file server for my family with shearing the home directory and print server.
10 year ago I use SUSE 6.4 and Windows 98 and its work very good.

Who can help me. Now I use Filezilla, but it is not the same.
Please, Please, Please!

That is a working example of a openSUSE Workstation in a windows workgroup, it has been set up to be the master browser of the LAN, you must create the users in Linux using yast and samba with the command smbpasswd -a user1

replace the user names with the ones you need, and remember to allow the following services in the firewall

Netbios server
samba server
