When I copy files between two copies of Samba in two openSUSE 11.2 PC’s with the new update, I get Samba Process Unexpectedly Died (in Dolphin). This happens going from Computer 1 to 2 or 2 to 1, it does not matter and the error is the same.
After reverting back to Samba version 3.4.2 in both PC’s, all files copied between PC’s work fine again. Though the “Authorization Dialog” bug is gone, not all seems right with the newest update version.

Thanks for the heads-up. It’s impossible to revisit the situation with the RPMs you updated to because they’ve changed as venzkep mentioned. I used the ones that you upgraded to with no difficulty and today I’ve now updated to the new 3.5.2-1.1 series RPMs in the openSUSE Samba Repo and they seem to be fine too. So I can’t even suggest what might have been your problem.
The good thing is that it’s working OK for you now. And if you need to, the 3.5.2-1.1 series RPMs are available now too. I’ve also updated the HowTo in the sticky that you referred to.
So now I see that the version present is 3.5.2, but I took the number posted in my message from the original message and I am not sure if it was really at 3.5.1 or if I was indeed using 3.5.2. First off, it is not my place to complain about the issue as I know lots of people are spending their hard earned personnel time trying to fix it so people such as myself get to use it all for free. Still, I have upgraded and downgraded Samba several times only to have to drop back to the original release to get Samba to work properly. I am not sure what the odds are I would end up with a security issue when it is only running on my home network. I am inclined to stick with the older version until openSUSE comes out with 11.3 this summer. When Samba is working, it is great as I can move files back and forth between any two computers, no matter what OS they are running. But when Samba is down, due to these latest issues, it really put a crimp on my style and is kind of depressing for me. I do appreciate everyones efforts working on the Samba issues, I really do.
