Hey fellow SuSE folks. I have the above laptop with the nvidia drivers installed.
I do a xrandr --output TV --auto
I switch my tv to s-video but I do not get the pic. Any guidance appreciated.

Have you tried configuring via nvidia-settings control utility first? You should be able to set up for multiple monitors there.
