S.M.A.R.T starts every day - how to re-schedule?

(wow, a visually refreshed and upgraded forum!)

Hi ya all,
I’m wondering if the S.M.A.R.T. check for my drives that starts its job every day, can be scheduled to run 2-3 times a week instead? Reason for my asking is the hw mechanics are also tested and the noise the drive emits is rather annoying.
I’ve looked into smartd.conf but it looks like the schedule is not being started from this configuration file.
Any idea?

@newtoopensuse Hi, with openSUSE defaults, yes, check output of smartd in the journal. I suggest a read of man smartd.conf as it has some good examples there.
