Does anybody have any experience with running openSuse on an Apple laptop? If so, what are your findings?

You can also lookup OpenSUSE and your hardware in linux-hardware db.
Select “Trends” and then under “All Distros” select OpenSUSE. Put Apple in the search window and press enter. Then change the time period to whatever you want. Last year is good enough. Then click on Apple. Now you have all the probes that reported installing OpenSUSE on an Apple computer. You can now click on a specific probe and see what works and what doesn’t. You can also click on your model to narrow it down further. You can also see all the logs associated with that computer.
