Running openSUSE 12.3 in VMWare Player, YaST2 prompts for 12.3 CD during package install

Running openSUSE 12.3 in VMWare Player, YaST2 prompts to "Insert 12.3-.7 (Disc 1) CD during package install for manuals, etc. Fails to mount CD in cd drive. Have to abort package install. Tried as main user and root login. Why would I even have to mount the CD burn from the .iso file during the package install? Please advise.

error output:

URL
cd:///?devices=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-VMware_Virtual_IDE_CDROM_Drive_10000000000000000001

Failed to mount cd:///?devices=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-VMware_Virtual_IDE_CDROM_Drive_10000000000000000001 on /var/adm/mount/AP_0x7kW2GT: Mounting media failed (mount: no medium found on /dev/sr0)

The CD is configured as software repository.
So YaST looks there for packages.

To stop those errors, either put the iso back in the drive or remove/disable it in YaST->Software Repositories…

It is requesting the install media you used, cd, dvd, whatever.

For vmplayer I install giving the player the path of the ISO file
holding it, not the real DVD. No need to burn it.

You can disable that “repository” and it will not be requested.
