good evening dear suse-community -
i am running logitech wlan-mouse with little usb-stick
all is nice and well - the wlan-mouse is pretty nice.
the mouse comes shipped with a little stick: a USB-adapter.
question; - can i integrate this stick into the notebook somehow!?
in other words: am i able to include all that that is on the little stick that comes shipped with the Logitech maus m 185 ?
if i am able to include this stick then i have a free usb-port left
love to hear from you
regards
Confused is this a wireless mouse? If so that is just the wireless transceiver for the mouse not a memory stick.
I am currently using a logitech m325, which I think is similar.
It is not a wlan mouse. The little USB thingie is called a “unifying receiver”. It picks up the mouse wireless signals. It is possible to have a logitech keyboard also connect via the same receiver (with some driver settings somewhere), though I have not tried that. The unifying receiver does not connect to wifi networks nor to blue tooth devices. It is specific for your mouse and other unifying devices.
The way I see it, is that I previously used a USB mouse. This is the equivalent, but without the cable. It still takes one USB port. You can use a USB2 port for that, and keep your USB3 ports for faster devices. Maybe it also works with USB1.1, but I don’t have a machine where I could test that.
The KDE battery monitor gives an indication of the state of the mouse battery. I’m seeing that at 70%, which seems to mean “full charge”. The m325 on my laptop shows at 90% for a full charge (i.e. a fresh battery).
