I’m running opensuse 12.1 64 bit.
I want to install the android development toolkit, with sun/oracle java, but this only exists in 32 bit form. Obviously I should install 32 bit libraries, ia-32 libs in Ubuntu, but I can’t find the generic name for the 32 bit libraries in opensuse.
I would welcome any advice or pointing in the right direction.
TIA
In KDE (you did not mention your desktop) go to** YaST** / Software / Software Management and on the View button (Top Left) select Patterns and place a check by 32-bit run time libraries pattern, listed under Base Technologies header.and press the Accept button on the bottom right corner. For anything else, you can search on 32 and see if it got installed or if there is more you need to install.
Thank You,
This is correct.
You might like to know, that a 64 bit install of SLED installs this pattern by default
Thankyou for your help.
I ought to investigate more options in yast2; I’ve just used the search in the past.
