I just installed 11.1 Alpha2 (KDE4.1) on VMware. The installation went just fine. Here’s my problems:
Any ideas ?
Check the Vmware forum & see if there is an any-any-update for 11.1 Alpha2.
(I’ll try to give the Vmware server a go this PM & maybe have something to add)
I have but didn’t find anything.

DON’T CLICK ON ANY LINKS AS THE PORN FREAKS HAVE TAKEN THEM OVER.
Use the vmware-any-any-update117c.tar.gz from Files - vmkernelnewbies | Google Groups and it should compile just fine – did for me with latest vMware Server:)
Just make sure you have kernel-source, kernel-syms, gcc, make, C++, etc… installed.
(While you are there, get all those and stash them somewhere)
I installed the vMware Server rpm; untared the any-any-update; cd to that folder; run “./runme.pl” as root – went like a champion.
PS: I also installed VirtualBox-1.6.2-Linux_amd64.run without problems. (stay away from 1.6.4 and wait on 1.6.6 due shortly; w/o action, 1.6.4 will fill up /home with log files)
