run opensuse under macbook pro

Hi,

got a macbook pro, how do I get Opensuse install on it. Partition has already been made… Thanks for your help

Installation on MacBook Pro Intel (x86) - openSUSE
Installation on MacBook/MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo (x86) - openSUSE

I am having problems with the instructions on this install:
Installation on MacBook/MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo (x86) - openSUSE

First off I am macbook pro 5,3. Everything in the guide works upintill it goes to configure/install boot loader illo. Gives me an error regarding name to long? I can print this out on my other laptop and retype if anyone else has not run into this problem.

Secondly I tried again, instead I used grub for install this worked for the most part. The install finished and I was taken into a working suse11.2
However upon reboot ReFIT shows the linux icon, but when I select it it does nothing, it will go to a blank screen.
If i try to run reFIT partition tool it says it cant find a file (Error: Not Found returned from gptsync.efi".
But when I put in the suse11.2 install cd and select boot from Harddrive, it then proceeds to grub and shows my two options, suse 11.2, failsafe mode.

Selecting suse 11.2 I am back into KDE and everything is fine.
Can someone explain how I can get refit to work? Again I tried the guide above and recieved errors with illo. Is there any files that can be configured so my current install will just work?
Even if i try to hold “option” when in reboot it wont show the suse install partion to select that way.

Anyway any help is much greatful! Let me know if you need me to supply anymore info.

Thank you

See if you can install/update refit from the MacOS and try.
