rpmlib(PayloadIsLzma) dependency

Hi! I have OpenSUSE 11.2 and trying to install a nautilus-gksu package from Alt Linux. It installed well in November, 2008 but recently I had to re-install the system and now it asks for rpmlib(PayloadIsLzma). It is for sure the same package. So I wonder what changed in my system so it does not install and what package should I install to meet this dependency?

The same problem with OpenReduce Computer Algebra System: in November it installed well from Alt Linux and worked excellent, but now it requires rpmlib(PayloadIsLzma).

Can you post what it asks exactly for?
I am sure it asks for some older version. Which one?

Of course you cannot expect that dependencies can be satisfied when using
packages from other distributions (they often have a different structure how
the files are distributed over the rpm’s).

If this is the reduce from sourceforge you can download a binary for
opensuse 11.1 which works with 11.2 (it is not a rpm)

I would try the gksu-nautilus-extension from the opensuse build service
(without adding the repository).

Thanks very much! It works great. And also I successfully installed Reduce from Alt dated by May 2008, although newer versions still do not install.

Zypper exactly asks for rpmlib(PayloadIsLzma) without specifying a version.

can you run

rpm -qi -p --requires /path/to/the/downloaded/therpmfile.rpm

and see what it shows
