Root Permissions

Hi,

Im I need to update a config file to enable touchpad tap on start up.
I have looked on forum for what i need to add.
How do I gain temp root permissions to allow me to save the file?

Many Thanks

You could use a CLI editor such as nano, mc, or vi like this

sudo nano /path/to/file

If you wish to use the GUI then try either:

kdesu kwrite /path/to/file
or
gnomesu gedit /path/to/file

Choose the one that fits your situation.

Or possibly, use the sysconfig editor in YaST, depending on what you
want to edit.
