Root Disk full

I was copying a file to my pendrive
it was taking a very log time which was ridiculous
so I cancelled it but when I reboot my sysem next time
my root drive became almost full (20gb partition, 12gb was free before. now its only 3 gb is free)
also my pendrive is dead in linux
in window it says you have to format the pendrive before use it
when I click on format , format stops and says you don’t have permission.
also Now I cannot write anything on my winodws c or d drive because of permission.

any idea why this happened?
any workaround?

my pendrive was fine by the way before hooking it up to open suse.

This clear up your root full problem
Clear Temp Files at Boot

Check the disk lock isn’t on on the pen drive

You can format the pen drive in Linux, Yast > Partitioner

I tried but nothing changed
seem to me something went seriously wrong with the system.
I tried to boot in failsafe mode but it hanged, stucked at "Fibmap login : Invalid argument.

Format the pendrive and it worked. thanks for the help.

The Fibmap error is caused by preload. Uninstall preload and the preload-kmp-YOURKERNELFLAVOR.

I think I should format the system.
