Rolling Upgrade Question

Hi, I have ported over to OpenSuse 12.1 x64 RT2 from Ubuntu, Been using Ubuntu for about three years now.
Have to say i am loving this version of OpenSuse.

Just one small question at this stage though, will my version become the released version with updates, or will i have to reinstall
to get the finished version in a few days.

I have also install 12.1 oRT2 on my wife’s laptop.

Thanks

No. You can upgrade or you can reinstall - your choice. It is not a rolling
distro.

There is a rolling version, it is called Tumbleweed. Experimental.

Thanks for your reply, I will most likely upgrade , if it goes wrong then
I can always reinstall.

it is unlikely to go wrong if you follow the recommended and supported
upgrade paths:

otoh, how to ‘upgrade’ from a milestone to an RC, or from one RC to
another, or from RC to gold is covered in the only forum here which
discusses unreleased and beta software (as is 12.1 today), here:
