Finally,
I went back to 10.2. I haven’t any “software” problems with 11.0 but working on laptop with that kernel was a nightmare. The problem was, that i have no ACPI support. I can’t turn off my laptop (it unmounts all partitions, proc, everything, but i need to switch off it manually 
). KPowersave not working, etc… On my old 10.2 everything is fine (I hope, he want to stay in this state 
). Now I’m playing with software repositories (I see that there is no update from KDE 3.5.5 ot *.9 . BTW I can’t find my favorite codecs.ymp one-click install for all codecs ).
I see that 10.2 is the last openSuse version on the repository list… And I think it’ll be disappear after 11.1 release… Somebody need to fix out this ACPI thing with kernel.
I want to stay @ openSuse.

Why not 10.3? You get all of the updater fix goodies.

But other things are broken (like Evolution) in 10.3. Seems there’s
not a perfect release out there.
Oh… and I agree with the acpi issues. You would think that some
things moved forward… it’s possible that before it was buggy and
doing bad things… but you never knew it… and now it “works”
correctly which means your laptop won’t power off.

I’m not sure if it’s an option for you. But I have to compile the
toshiba_acpi module and patch it so I can get bluetooth to work, maybe
you could try the 10.2 one for your laptop.
As a side note have (did you) you tried the acpi=force in the boot
options? See “Using acpi=force boot option” in the “How To’s”.

Yeah, I heard about the acpi=force option. But, there is no way!
If I switch this on (acpi=force), my system boots up correctly, I can turn off my laptop (but there is still no battery meter…). BUT, after 20 minutes the whole system freezes down.
I haven’t any problems with the softwares just with this acpi… The only question is, it worked in 10.2, but not in 11.0, why? :? I don’t think that they are downgraded something. I have no idea. :\
Hmmmmm Sounds like maybe the fan isn’t working to keep things cool,
hence the freeze?
So how about posting info over in the hardware forum. Laptop model etc,
what modules are loaded, what is in /proc/acpi and see if can determine
the differences?

Yeah, exactly! Now, I’m checked it. :\ The fan isn’t working, and I think that is the one and only problem. I’ll post it to the hardwer forum.

Wow that’s incredibly dangerous and potentially damaging…reminds
me of the old days when the sound driver would default to full volume
during installation. I was working on a Linux sound system once and
I had headphones on when it happened…talk about a mad scramble to rip
those off my head!
