This Firefox issue has been in OpenSUSE Gnome for quite a while now and
I’m surprised it hasn’t been fixed yet in 11.1.
For those who are not familiar with this issue: right-clicks in Firefox
randomly performs different actions, sometimes it opens a new window,
sometimes a new tab, sometimes a bookmark, etc.
Is there any workaround for this?
Thank you

Never experimented with this issue. Are you maybe using some particular
add-on?

What happens if you press the right mouse button and hold it like that?
I’ve noticed similar behaviour, and that was the ‘solution’.

I think it happened from the start so I doubt it’s caused by an add-on
but I’ll make sure by disabling all add-ons.
And holding the right mouse button doesn’t do anything special for me

Right click to any link in Firefox sometimes cause random action in
KDE/Gnome. It happens totally randomly.

Yep. I get the same. I thought it was some kind of mouse gestures
glitch?!

I remember this behaviour on older releases with Compiz and GNOME, but
not on 11.1 past 48hrs after install (and not using Compiz anymore
anyway)

described behaviour is a bug that happens on linux versions of firefox.
I learned about it on Ubuntu and Xandros forums. Installing addon “redox
mouse gestures” and then disabling all gestures, cures the disease.

Still have to try the fix recommended by Solnysok, but it isn’t just a
problem with gnome versions of FF, happens all the time in KDE-Firefox
as well.
v annoying bug, yes.
