rhythmbox and menu bar

openSUSE 12.3, Gnome 3.8
Rhythmbox was recently updated to version 2.99.1. Since then the menu
bar is gone.
It seems they adopted the way Firefox handles the menu bar. It’s hidden
by default, and it can be brought back by pressing F10. However,
pressing F10 does nothing.
Anyone else seeing this? Any suggestion how to fix this?
Thanks.

Hi
I’m running 3.8 and don’t see your issue?

Are you running a different theme from the defaults?

No. Are you running Rhythmbox 2.99?

Christian

Hi
Version 2.98, version 2.99.1 from GNOME:Apps moves the menu up onto the top panel as per the current design progression… so click on the Rhythmbox up on the top panel and the menu will appear there.

Thanks. I’ve figured that out by now.
I was somehow under the impression one could bring back the menu bar by
pressing F10, just like in Firefox. But that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Being used to the menu bar, I’m not happy with these changes. And I find
it far from being intuitive to completely remove it.
