I have two external harddrives; one is USB, the other is Firewire. I seem to be having a problem where the drives will spin down after being idle for a while, and then when I want to start a program that references to one of those drives, like Amarok (one drive has all my music on it), I actually have to open up the drive’s folder in Dolphin to wake it up, then start Amarok, and rescan my collection. Is there some way to fix this? I don’t necessarily need the drives to be spinning constantly, but it would be nice for them to start back up when they’re called by something other than dolphin. Any ideas?
