Restore MBR afer Xp installation?

Hi there. I currnetly have suse 11.1 on pc and would like to put win xp on one spare partition. Knowing that xp will overwrite my mbr, I wonder If I will be able to boot to my existing suse with the installation dvd and then repair the mbr? Thanks for help.

Considered using a VM instead? If you use something like VMware Server
(1.x or 2.x) or VMware Player (both free) you could do this and just
suspend windows when you are done with it and not have to leave your Linux
environment. I’ve found this to be the best of all needed worlds in my
own experience.

Good luck.

Yes, there’s a tool in Yast for recalculating Grub config to include an entry for xp and restore Grub to the MBR.

Full details here: GRUB Boot Multiboot openSUSE Windows (2000, XP, Vista) using the Grub bootloader.

I do use VirtualBox already and have very positive experiences with it, however I have problem accessing hardware devices, when programming canbus controllers
