Does anyone know if I can use respondus lockdown browser on opensuse 12.1. I am in college and have to take tests in one of my courses and can only do this through respondus. I downloaded wine but I’m not sure I know how to use it. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Highly unlikely - I spent about 8 years working in the field of online
training, assessment, and exam delivery, and I can tell you that programs
that are designed to lock down the interface to prevent access to other
resources (which would be the case with this tool along with many others)
generally are written specifically to check to see if they’re running in
WINE, a virtual environment, or in any environment that would compromise
the integrity of the exam (this would include remote access/desktop tools
running, screencap tools, etc.)
Given that this is required as a part of your education, I would strongly
urge you to meet the specific system requirements of the tool - if your
school won’t support it running on a Linux system, then you need to abide
by that. If you don’t, you could end up costing yourself far more than
the cost of a Windows license.
