I was wondering if I can get some help please. I have had this problem for about 5 months now when running OS 11.1 and still having the problem after upgrading to OS 11.2.
When I boot up my system I see all the post information etc then the boot loader menu. I select OS 11.2. After that my screen goes to Resolution XGA out of range. Once the system gets up to the desktop it’s all hunky-dory. Also when I shut down the system, after it shuts down the desktop, it goes back to XGA out of range again. If I go into any of the other consoles ‘ctrl + alt + F3’ It does the same thing.
I am using a SDM-S51R sony 15" tft. I have checked the settings in xorg.conf and the resolution and refresh rates are all correct as per manufacturer specs. Graphics adapter is ATI running RV250 drivers (I think I have that right.)
This did work before with the current hardware but I think about the same time it stopped working I may have been playing about with the config and stuffed if I can remember what I have done.
Any help i can get from people would be appreciated as am really scratching my head over this one.
