Resolution Problem

Hey.

I just installed openSUSE on my computer, and the set up and everything went fine, BUT, when I booted up for the first time, GRUB was alrgith, but when I started up, it seems like the resolution got messed up. The same text was there multiple times, and then when it wanted be to log on, you could only see vertical bars, like someone had hit the screen. Only, the mouse cursor was alright. I think this has to do with my laptop and not openSUSE, but does anyone know what might be going on?

I have nvidia drivers.

Can you post your graphics card, method of installing nvidia, possibly screenshot of the symptoms, your relevant xorg files (probably /etc/X11/xorg.conf if you used nvidia-xconfig), KDE/GNOME/Other, and are you booting into a terminal?

A possible quick fix is to boot with the option “nomodeset”
