When you do not even tell which version of openSUSE you use, nor which desktop (from your cryptic problem description, abou the only thing one acn decide is that you use a desktop of some sort) and it’s level, it will be difficult fopr most people (except the clairvoyant ones of which we have not many) can help you which much more that wild suggestions.
On other words, to give you any specifics, we need your specifics first.
Specifically, really? Well, best to avoid anything with side effects when operating machinery.
