Hello ppl.,
I need to know one important thing!.
When i install SUSELinux in my laptop (Already Vista installed!)…
I get a option ‘Suggested Partitioning’ here i selected ‘Partition based’, then ‘create partition setup’ and then ‘custom partition (for experts)’…
Now i can see a list of all partitions!
Here in the left side i clicked (i expanded) ‘Hard disks’ and then ‘/dev/sda’.
There i can see 3 partitions. (1st is C for vista, 2nd also for vista) and the 3rd i want to install Suse.
But due to some reason i want to resized the 3rd partition!.
So i clicked /dev/sda3. Now i can see some details of the 3rd partition.
Below i can see 3 options (edit, resize, and delete)…
I selected ‘resize’ Now a YaST2 window comes. There i can resize…Say the 3rd partition is 40gb. I want to make 20 and 20gb. I can resize…but after resize where is my unused partition, i mean the remaining 20 gb…Where it goes and how to identify…???ß
thanks for your help
Sorry…i just solved my problem…
After resizing, i clicked ‘/dev/sda’ from left side…then it shows a list of partition…here i cant see the unused disk space, which was left after resizing…
But there is a option below ‘Add’, ‘edit’, ‘resize’, ‘delete’ and ‘expert’…I selected ‘add’ then it showed 2 option
1 create primary
2 create extended.
When i clicked ‘extended’…it automatically showed the remaning space…i just added…
now i hope every thing should be fine!!!
bye
have a nice weekend
Edited…
Since i cant mount…i changed to primary partition…
Well done – hope it works for you.
