Request for help troubleshooting Suspend to Ram and Hibernate issues

First let me say that 12.3 has been the best release of opensuse to date, awesome doesn’t quit cover it.

The only issues I have in this release is failure to come out of sleep and failure to enter Hibernation.

I have been reviewing boot.log and pm-suspend.log for clues, what else should I be looking at to find relevant information.

If past experience proves any guide the issue centers around the radeon driver, I have in the past move to proprietary driver to fix the issue successfully. But I find myself
reluctant to do so this time as the open driver is work beautifully. No heat issues, no graphics issues, games work great with the open driver.

KDE 4.10

Which kernel version are you using? I know with the 3.7.10 I was able to suspend and resume ok on my Acer with Intel Graphics just fine. However on my Toshiba the 3.7.10 would have wake up issues. That machine uses an AMD gpu. I would try the 3.8.5 on the Toshiba to see if that fixes the issues but the plug to the power cord broke the other day.
If the stock 3.7.10-1 I believe is the stock doesn’t work try grabbing the 3.8.10 and see if that helps.
