After the base install I activated a few other repositories. They are literally taking hours to download and install. My network connection is good. Is this normal?

Hi
Nope, I just did a refresh here, didn’t take long at all. Maybe the
mirrors are busy/having issues?
Are you getting errors on your network interface? Check with (note
replace eth0 with your active interface);
/sbin/ifconfig eth0 |grep error
and
sudo /sbin/ethtool eth0
Does it all look ok?

It finished, but it seems like my networking is slow. It takes about 10 seconds to load google.com in Firefox. I wonder if there is a problem with my networking setup? I’m at work now, but will run your command to look for errors tonight. Thanks.
Disable iPv6 and reboot.
YAST -> Network Devices -> Network Card -> Global Options -> Untick Enable IPv6.
