Repositories broken?

My system did some manditory updates this evening - I then went to install a program and YaST came back with
Download failed, file/content not found on media
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/10.3:/standard/

If I go to http:// download etc etc there is no “standard” directory there only a ‘testing’ one

same for the Main Repository (non-OSS)I get an error but if I browse there there it data in that directory…

Something broken?

Just what is this url supposed to be for - it’s odd
Your using 10.3?

this any help, If I browse to the first site, the directories don’t exist

Thanks for the help…

HI, I’ve just browsed to the first one, which takes me to Index of /distribution/10.3/repo/oss, which is working now.

Yes I saw that as well, the path for repository/opensuse10.3:/standard/ is not there however…

Thanks
Stephen

delete it and add this:

Index of /distribution/10.3/repo/oss

New updates and did as you suggested and I’m back, corruption on my part as no one else seemed to have a problem? (flaky install? I am running pretty old hardware…)

Thanks…

I added that repo from command line; but when I did zypper ref, I got the following error and backtrace:

Please suggest.

This is kind of random of you posting this:

You don’t say what version of Suse you are using and why you thought you needed to add this repo. A little more info and an idea of what you are trying to achieve please

I apologise for that. I am using openSUSE 10.3 and added the repo as OSS is a major repo for all updates.

try removing them all and re-adding them

Tried it a number of times; but doesn’t work.

Have you tried Yast from the GUI or can’t you do that. Force a re-install of zypper packages.

or do

sudo rpmdb --rebuilddb

then
zypper dup

When I try graphical Yast, it hangs up. Thats why I switched to command line. I have tried a re-install of zypper packages and Yast packages. No success so far.

Hi
Try changing to a mirror close to you, I find the redirector can be a
bit flakey at times. If you look at the right there is a mirror link
use the main URL from here.

Changing the mirror worked. Thank you.

Yeah I have also noticed problems with the repositories for about a month.
