My system did some manditory updates this evening - I then went to
install a program and YaST came back with
Download failed, file/content not found on media
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/10.3:/standard/
If I go to http:// download etc etc there is no “standard” directory
there only a ‘testing’ one
same for the Main Repository (non-OSS)I get an error but if I browes
there there it data in that directory…
Something broken?

HI, I’ve just browsed to the first one, which takes me to ‘Index of
/distribution/10.3/repo/oss’
(http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/10.3/repo/oss/ ), which is
working now.

You don’t say what version of Suse you are using and why you thought
you needed to add this repo. A little more info and an idea of what you

I apologise for that. I am using openSUSE 10.3 and added the repo as OSS is a major repo for all updates.

Have you tried Yast from the GUI or can’t you do that. Force a
re-install of zypper packages.
or do
sudo rpmdb --rebuilddb
then
zypper dup

When I try graphical Yast, it hangs up. Thats why I switched to command line. I have tried a re-install of zypper packages and Yast packages. No success so far.

Hi
Try changing to a mirror close to you, I find the redirector can be a
bit flakey at times. If you look at the right there is a mirror link
use the main URL from here.
