My upgrades have quit working because “repodata/repomd.xml” can’t be found. Where did it go?
Then you should show, when it is not working, post:
zypper up
also
zypper lr -d
And please use Code-Tags.
First,
We here in openSUSE differ a bit from some other distros by making a distinction between an “update” which is minor and generally involves patching, fixing and adding minor features compared to "upgrading’ which means to make a major system-wide change like moving between major versions which also generally involves major system re-installation. LEAP upgrades only every year and a half or so but updates continuously. Tumbleweed does not usually update, it upgrades all the time.
As for your error,
I’ve seen it sometimes in a transient(sometimes happens and sometimes not) situation which should not be of importance, just wait awhile and update again.
On the other hand, if it happens continuously or when you first set up a repo, then it’s generally a sign that the repo is mis-configured… Remove the repo and add it again but double-check the validity of the URI
HTH,
