Haven’t been able to update or cache repositories in weeks.
No even a local ISO file.
Error message:
There was an error in the repository initialization.
‘http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/games/openSUSE_11.0/’: Failed to cache repo (1).
History:
- ‘repo2solv.sh’ ‘-o’ ‘/var/cache/zypp/solv/http:_download.opensuse.org_repositories_games_openSUSE_11.0/solv’ ‘/var/cache/zypp/raw/http:_download.opensuse.org_repositories_games_openSUSE_11.0’
/usr/bin/repo2solv.sh: line 29: cd: -o: invalid option
cd: usage: cd -L|-P] [dir]
Apparently something using the “-o” switch is now invalid.
Have deleted old repos, attempted to rebuild new ones (failed), each manually, plus automatically. I’m stuck here.
THX for reading.
That’s really strange that you couldn’t rebuild after deleting your repositories…I’m sorry to say that I’m at a loss. I’ll certainly keep my eyes and ears open, though.
Is this update problem you are experiencing specific to this repo? What happens if you disable the ‘games’ repo, then try updating again? Just trying to get more of a handle on this…
Hi
You might also try adding the mirror address rather than using the
redirector as this may be sending you to a faulty/incomplete mirror.

Ask away, of course…
The games repo error was just a sample of EVERY repo error message I try to add.
Everything was fine since 11.0 came out, then one day a week ago or so, this “-o” switch in some autoscript somewhere became invalid.
What follows the line after “History” in the original post is what I get with any Repo.
Puzzles me that I can’t even cache my ISO, which is copied to the hard disc in /home/.
