Replace repository keys

My project https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/science:dlr contains some old DSA keys, which are not longer accepted by Ubuntu based distros.

I tried regenerating keys using the osc command line tool, but I am not allowed to do so (missing admin rights?).

How can I recreate new RSA based keys?

Hi and welcome to the Forum
Are you using the commandline tool ‘osc’ to update the project keys? I would suggest the mailing list or IRC channel as should get to the right folks if can’t update the project keys as your user.

Hi and welcome to the Forum

Thanks a lot !

Yes, I was using the osc tool for changing the keys. This did not work as I had not the permission to do it, although I am the maintainer of this repo.

I’ll try to get in touch via IRC with someone.

I really hope my question is no hijacking of this thread…
I´d like to know, if a repo´s gpg changes (e.g. key replaced), would zypper complain about this with a clear message?

Because using zypper --update sometimes repo data needs updates for some reason and I wonder what zypper does if repomd.xml.key changes…

I guess, a developer could test this with hiw own repo?

thanks

I am afraid that what you call “hyjacking” is more of a disadavantage to you, because you will get much less exposure by adding to an old thread where probably nobody will look anymore then with a new thread that shows at the begin of the subforum’s list and comes to the attention of all who browse through new threads to see if they can help.

It is up to you to decide if you want to draw attention or not
