Replace bootsplash with splashy

Hi,

I am using opensuse 11, kde 3.5, clean install.
Bootsplash is the default boot splash manager.
How can I use only splashy for boot splash manager?

I enabled a theme in splashy, and the theme shows up only when suspend to disk is initiated.
When the system is booting up it uses bootsplash theme, even when booting up from suspend to disk.

In YAST->Sysconfig->System->Boot->Themes there is only bootsplash themes in drop down box.

To sum up, I want to disable bootsplash and use only splashy?

I need help too for this. bootsplash project has been frozen and stoped since a long time ago. They even sugest splashy on their homepage. I am using openSUSE 11.1, but my kernel is 2.6.28. The kernel no longer include bootsplash. Inserting bootsplash support manually is big load of work. And i am not familiar with rc-tools.

Does anybody out there can help us with the init script for splashy?

When you install splashy from source code… I actually got all those scripts and initramfs tools… but my problem is that when compiling in opensuse… the standard installation procedure mess the setup for opensuse… I wish the package maintainer of splashy fixes his package and includes all scripts, including the init.rd/splashy and the /etc/lsb-###.sh thing with them.
