I installed OpenSuse 11.0 on my Toshiba laptop(a105-s2001).
Most, but not all of the time, when it gets to the final screen there is a reaping “woop, woop” sound. Muting doesn’t turn it off. I just have to reboot until it work correctly. How can I fix it?
Mike
You have to understand that it is very difficult for us to say:
But try booting and when the green splash screen comes up, press: Esc
you should see scrolling text
see if you notice any errors in there
Also, try booting failsafe. See what happens then.
This is the first I have read of a Toshiba A105 user having this problem with openSUSE. Please do a media check on your openSUSE installation CD/DVD (this is one of the options on the CD/DVD). If it fails, you have a bad installation CD/DVD.
I will do both of these, the DVD came from the front of a Linux Pro special issue.
