Not just 2.0, but 1.4 as well. This only pertains to amarok in opensuse 11.1 for me though. 11.0 was fine, and my xandros and kubuntu machines dont experience this problem. However the xine engine claims that it cannot play mp3s with both amaroks. Ive installed all the necessary codecs and simply solved the problem with aTunes for now. I had the packman amarok as well. I’d rather have 1.4 as the new amarok is missing everything i’ve grown to love about it>:( So if anyone has a known fix for this I’d appreciate it.
Have you made sure you have all of the following packman packaged: libxine1, xine-ui, xine-skins, amarok-xine, libmad, libffmpeg0, w32codec-all?
I had a problem with the xine engine in amarok after accidentally combining packages from different repositories (e.g. the vlc repository in addition to packman). If that’s the case, you can solve the problem by deactivating unnecessary repositories and updating the packages.
