I was unfortunate enough to have to download openSUSE 11.0 9 times, each time with a checksum error, before I found this helpful post on the internet and managed to repair my corrupted downloads. I was using Free Download Manager and I everytime openSUSE failed the integrity check, I would have to restart the entire download, which would take me another 2 hours. The following link provides a very helpful, easy, and quick method to repairing checksum errors:
Just a nitpick. You are actually repairing the file. The checksum is the evidence that the file repair worked. One doesn’t repair checksums for the sake of the checksum.
