Removing KDE 4.8 update notifications

I have updated KDE from 4.8 to 4.9.1 now [opensuse-2012-588-KDE: 4.8.5 stable update] notifications keep appearing.
Assistance is sought on how where to indicate this is not a desired update.

Uninstall apper. That’s the program sending the notifications.

You can also taboo the KDE patch in YaST. Stops the notifications.
