i am suing SUSE 10.00 and i need remote assistance from friend in another country. I think this can be done in windows xp using “remote assistance”. How can i do this using linux suse?
My server has been already configured to network system, now they changed the modem containing different IPs. my problem is how to locate IPs on Linux server. where do i have to click/open to find IPs

If your friend knows what to do all you need to do is start sshd and
open your firewall. That you can do with YaST
Then he can connect.
You also need to give him your ip address, the result of /sbin/ifconfig
or alternatively you get from for example here:
If he’s able to help you, he can work it on from that
