reinstall use older kernel as default

i want to reinstall my OS, but use kernel 2.6.31.5 instead of 2.6.31.8. Are there settings in the install that I can change to do this automatically?

If you are going to reinstall it from scratch. So by default it have 2.6.31.5, not 2.6.31.8. That one you get after updating the system.
