Reiner SCT CyberJack e-com pinpad dead after update from LEAP 42.1

Hi community,

Recently updated from LEAP 42.1. Using moneyplex with Reiner SCT cyberJack e-com USB card reader, have to realize today that the card reader is no longer recognized.
Installed packages: libpcsclite1, pcsc-cyberjack, pcsc-lite. Card reader listed (lsusb) as “Bus 001 Device 006: ID 0c4b:0401 Reiner SCT Kartensysteme GmbH”, but moneyplex can´t access it. “cyberjack” tool to analyze issues isn´t available as indicated in readme file.
How to troubleshoot?

Thanks a lot.

Small progress: found command “rcpcscd status” in ReinerSCT forum. This reveals

Forgot to mention that moneyplex is current version 16.0 64-bit.

Thanks again for any hint.

…maybe have look here:https://forum.reiner-sct.com/index.php?/topic/2847-cyberjack-e-com-lauft-nicht-unter-kubuntu-1204-lts-32bit/especially the post by G-Pabst Geschrieben 27 July 2012 - 08:59 AM and followingDunno if it’s the correct device ID for your problem, but might give you a hint in the right direction.

Is that an USB3-Port?
Try another one.

Post:

cat /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/40-cyberjack.rules
systemctl status pcscd.service

Remove the Reader from Usb, wait and open a Root-Konsole/Terminal.
Type in:

journalctl -f

Put in the Reader and post the Output here.

Ctrl+C stops journalctl -f in the Konsole.

Contacted ReinerSCT support. Reader diagnosed as defect. Replacement works great again.
