Hello All,
I am trying to enable the setting where a user must select their username by default and type in their password prior to the point where the system reaches the desktop. Am i missing something, or do I have to configure the system in such a way where choose this option?

Which desktop? In KDE it is in Personal settings- advanced - Login Manager. I suppose there is the equivalent in Gnome. It can also be done in Yast
Hello gogalthorp,
Yes I found it in Yast, but it is kind of hidden. Frustrating that is would not be out in the open. Now, if I can get my youtube videos working like before I’d be happy!! Thank you very much!!

it was “out in the open” during install you just overlooked it…(lots
do, its not flashing red or anything)
the page where you typed in the user name and password, asked if you
wanted to have the same password for root and if you wanted it to boot
directly to the desktop…
