…/etc/init.d/before.local…
System Console Stolen at line: 266
This line of red warning consistently appears immediately after something that ended with** /etc/init.d/before.local**
This is during the boot.
Have anyone see it before ?
It appears both in kernel versions:
- 2.6.37.6-0.5-desktop
- 2.6.37.1-1.2-desktop

I get this problem:

it occurs during soft/hard resets of the computer. I have to do a cold boot for the system not to hang during initialization.

IMO your problem is not related to “System Console Stolen at line” messages
- your problem is different, related probably to video.
Perhaps you should create your own new post with appropriate subject line.
Have you applied updates? IIRC, the problem of the Re was solved by one.
