I accidentally deleted the office icon on the desktop that shows on a
default installation… how could I get that icon back?
note: just finished installing OS, so everything is from a default
install… oh and is not in the recicle bin though
thanks

Are you using KDE3, KDE4 or Gnome?
This or similar should work with them all: Go to the main menu, find
the program, left click and hold to pick it up, then drop it on to the
desktop. In KDE3 I know you get the option to ‘copy here’ so use that.
