recover photo

hello at all,

for the first i excuse for my english, i have a problem… in my laptop i have install the Suse 10.1 and for my mistake i have lost a photo because i have cut and paste in the usb pendrive instead to copy and paste.

I remember the location of photo and for this i ask to you if there is a solution to recover this photo because in the pendrive is not possible to do.

At the mean time, you can check the /tmp directory in hope to be there.

ok i see in the tmp directory if there is something… if there isn’t anything can i recover with a good program?

WARNING: If you are using the same computer where this happened, or worse, you install something,
chances are that all is lost. Linux will reuse the space where that photo was as soon as it needs or
wants to. After that, no recovery is possible.

So, first thing, power off that computer. Next, get a system on another disk or partition, or CD live.

Finally, don’t forget to have a look at the dustbin of your desktop.
