I’ve a MIDI device, USB MIDI interface and a PC with OpenSUSE 11.1 Gnome. Is there a program for OpenSUSE that can record MIDI and is there a programm that the MIDI file can translate to sheet music?
Thank you.

I know that they exist. I no longer remember the names. Search
engines are your friends. They may not be really user friendly.
I’ve found MuseScore, It works not perfect yet, but I’ve a start.
If google doesn’t help, you might do better to ask the question in the forum of one of the specialist audio distros e.g 64 Studio, and Ubuntu Studio. Having found any, you can see if one exists in openSUSE repos. If it does, you then have to get it working probably with little or no help from this forum. So if it is really important, you may do better by multibooting with one of those specialist distros.
It’s only for fun, but thanks for help. And when I become a famous artist, mayby I’ll use one of those distros;)
